STATIC DRIFT
Sync and timing destruction. The monitor loses lock: horizontal tearing, rolling frames, diagonal skew, head-switching noise at the bottom of the picture.

Everything here is pay what you can, from $0 up. The price shown is a suggestion. Paying is how you show appreciation for the builds — and it is what keeps me building more.
THE SLIDING SCALE
- BROKE / STUDENT — take it for $0, no guilt. Make something.
- WORKING — the suggested price says thanks and keeps the lights on.
- THIS PAYS YOUR BILLS — pay more and fund the next build.
STATIC DRIFT does not filter your image. It corrupts the timing of the video signal, scanline by scanline, the way a sync breaker circuit does on real hardware. When the sync pulses go, the monitor loses lock and the picture tears, rolls, skews and flags.
What it does
- Sync destruction — horizontal tearing, rolling frames, diagonal skew and tape-flagging at the top of the frame.
- Head switching — the authentic horizontal displacement and noise band where a VCR’s video heads change over.
- ARCH warp — the geometric bend of a picture whose horizontal timing is drifting.
- STATIC COMPOSITE — luma-only signal-interference texture, exclusive to this plugin.
- Intra-line stretch and time-base collapse — a macro that drags the whole line structure apart.
Workflow
Five macro knobs in SIMPLE mode, the full timing / geometry / signal parameter set in ADVANCED. Eight curated presets. Every parameter is keyframeable. Pin the effect to a region of the frame, gate it with the NTSC processing block, and mix it back against the clean source.
Native C++ for After Effects and Premiere Pro, built on a scanline-first engine: no heap allocation in the render path, thread-safe, fast enough for interactive scrubbing at 1080p.
